I was shopping at Dicks sporting goods when i came across a Gatorade stand which was well displayed and had images of athletes working very hard while using the new Gatorade G Series products. The athletes were perservering through exhaustion, dehydration and physical pain. This stand shows the competitive nature of america today and the emphasis on physical performance there is in the sporting world. When i got back i found a good G Series advertisement which i posted the link to above.
The objects are the three different forms of the Gatorade G series on the right side of the image. They are made to stand out because everything else is black and white and they are bright red. The position is that the Gatorade helped all these well known athletes achieve greatness. In the three main pictures the athletes are consuming this produc. As a viewer this portrays the great importance of the Gatorade G series to sporting events. The rhetoric is that an aspiring athletes today should train with the G Series products in order to achieve greatness like the role models their rolemodels in the images on the left. The signifier are the images of the athletes and the words The G Series as well as the slogan "gatorade has evolved. The signified is this idea that these athletes need and use this product in order to perform as well as they do. As a viewer i got a sense of what kind of accomplishment a person could achieve with hardwork and the G Series as an aid.
