In 1932, superman was created by American writer Jerry Siegel and Artist Joe shusterbeing a new American cultural symbol. Then is was widely appeared in TV, newspapers, video games, films and radio. To me, he is distinctive and he is in red, blue and yellow costume with a cape in his back.

He is the representation of American juestice and force. This picture is one of my favourite picture of Superman because superman is described as the guarlding angel of United State and unquestionably, he will protect the all of honor of this flag. When he show up, all kinds of evil,crime will be punished. He is undefeatable just like American power come from freedom, equality and all aspects in society. The superhero stand before the flag is the main object in this picture and he is widely known as an American cultural icon. When I first saw him in the film, I always dreamed that I could be him and save world someday. The "S" shield on the chest of superman is a signifier, which is also the first letter of his name. This "S" shield is used to symbolize the character right now. The signified is the super power of U.S.A. From this picture, every single American will get together and take the position of justice.

ReplyDeleteThis picture clearly describes one of the best characteristics of America. Justice. When I first came to U.S., I found out that American people have a strong sense of justice. For example, in Japan, sometimes people don't dare to say what they think is right, because people in Japan usually tend to form a group and they don't like their group member to do against them. But in America, people cooperate and fight against bad things. Therefore, I really respect this soul. I like this post!
