This scene is in the lab of the military base in Pandora. Leading character Jake has already mental linked to a Na'vi-human hydrid body and he has a mission to interact with natives of Pandora and learn more about Pandora's biosphere.
Human attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi tribe, the humanoid species indigenous to Pandora, by using the method called "avater" identity. In the picture, we can see many advanced instruments which used for genetically engineering and several researchers. They are all belong to Dr. Grace's Avatar Program. Look at the blue skin body in the centre of the picture, There is a line attached to the "avatar" head because they are operated via mental link by genetically matched humans.
This picture make me feel that human beings in Pandora is very greedy and their plunder of valuable mineral is disgraceful. It also make me feel Quaritch's brutal act against Na'vi's tribe. I think it is unfair to interfere Na'vi's life in this way. "Avatar" must disturb native's previous living order like bring them disaster later in the movie. Colonel Miles Quaritch and RDA Corporation do not take Pandora's peace and Na'vi's tribe into consideration. They destroy Hometree (the neural network to Pandoran organisms), kill natives in Pandora and just want to plunder natural resources. They ever think about our feelings if someday powerful aliens come from outer space and invade our earth.
Based on my development from the picture and some analysis about this movie, I disagree that RDA Corporation step into Pandora, invade Na'vi's lives and plunder valuable mineral. All living things in space should treat each other friendly. In this case, human should respect Na'vi's culture and it is disgraceful to destroy their living environment. If you do not show respect to other culture, you will be punished just like humans beat by Na'vi and Pandoran's natural force at the end of the movie.
